Membership

So you think you have what it takes to be a Rogue? Well then, please read the rules of membership below and if you think you can hang with the Rogues, then please send an e-mail to newrogues@roguereviewers.com with your name, your site's name and address, and a little statement about why you'd like to be a Rogue. Your site will be evaluated and you will be contacted within a few days with the decision.

Requirements for Rogue Reviewer Membership

These are the requirements for membership in the Rogue Reviewers. A repeated pattern of non-compliance with these items will be considered grounds for termination from the group. We don't take terminations lightly, so any sites that don't adhere to the requirements will have plenty of notice and ample opportunity to get back up to speed before they are removed from the group.

1. Roundtable reviews are mandatory and are due on their scheduled due date.

2. Mailing list participation is very important and very strongly encouraged in order to make the group stronger and more close knit.

3. Rogue member sites must only belong to the Rogues and not to any other reviewers group. Loyalty to the group and the desire to make it great are what we're looking for in a true Rogue. This does not include belonging to other webrings and the like; only to other reviewers groups.

5. All members are required to add their reviews to the links directory at the time of posting. This is important to maintain the integrity of the directory. This item is not flexible.

6. All Rogue members must belong to the Rogues Fan Club on yahoo groups. We're trying to build a fan community, and being able to interact with the members of the group is a good way to keep people interested. You can post announcements about your site here and other messages as well.

7. Monthly submissions to the Rogues magazine Rogue Cinema are mandatory.  Submissions are to consist of a minimum of any of the following items:

1. A well written article pertinent to the subject matter of the magazine.
2. A detailed actor / actress profile.
3. An interview with anyone associated with the independent / cult film community (e.g. directors, actors, producers, etc...)
4. At least two independent / cult film reviews no less than three good paragraphs in length, but the more in depth they are, the better.

Submissions are subject to the approval of the magazine's editor and must be submitted according to the magazine's submission requirements.
