Date of Birth: December 3, 1970 Home Town: Boise, Idaho Website: B-Movie Central Site Opening Date: May 1, 2002 Favorite Genre of B-Movies: Classics of any genre / classic exploitation / silent films. Favorite B-Movie: Classic: Bride of the Monster / Modern: There's Nothing Out There Favorite B-Movie Actor(s): Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, Doug McClure, Bruce Campbell, Reggie Bannister, Angus Scrimm Favorite B-Movie Quote: "Man is a machine that manufactures manure." - Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things General Info: My love for B-Movies began when I was a kid. I didn't know it at the time, but all those really cool movies I caught on the weekends and late at night when I was a kid, would play a huge role in my life as an adult. Thanks to the sheer number of these movies that have been released on DVD, I've been allowed to relive some of those childhood memories, and I've also gotten the chance to experience tons of great movies that I never even knew existed. When I started my site, I hadn't originally intended to focus entirely on classic B-Movies, but as I bought more and more DVD's for my collection, I discovered that although there are some more modern movies that I really enjoy, my true love lies with the classics. I stumbled upon some B-Movie review sites while looking up a review for the movie Bad Taste. I didn't know if it was any good or not, and I wanted to know before I bought it. As I looked at these sites, I thought to myself, "Hey, I can do that. I have a ton of these movies, and I love to write." It was at that moment that the idea for B-Movie Central was born. Within a week, I had the domain name and the basic framework for the site up and running. As for me personally, I was born and raised in Sebastopol, California and moved here to Boise back in August of 2000. I met my wife Sharon on my old IRC channel. She's from Jerusalem, Israel and she moved here to the US in 1997 when we got married. I have been playing bass since 1989 and I'm a huge fan of bands like Queen and KISS. Oh, and about my DVD collection. Its freakin' huge, and gettin' bigger all the time. He who dies with the most DVD's wins. |

| Name: Brian Morton, but friends call me Moondog November 1962...yes, I'm old! Home Town: Detroit, Michigan Name of Site: The Bad Movie Guy Site Opening Date: October 1999 Favorite Genre of B-Movies: I watch anything! I lean towards horror or cult movies! Favorite B-Movie: Evil Dead, or Death Wish, or I Spit On Your Grave. Don't make me pick just one!! Favorite B-Movie Actor(s): Bruce Campbell (hometown hero) and Jeffery Combs, who else could go from Re-Animator to Star Trek?!? Favorite B-Movie Quote: "It kinds hurts, but it kinda feels good too" - I Spit On Your Grave. If you've seen the movie that should make you shudder a little!! General Info - I was that kid who never played outside on the weekend because I'd miss the afternoon chiller theatre. So, as the other kids got fit and healthy and had fun, I saw multiple Godzilla movies, horror movies and anything else that they'd show me...so I always felt sorry for those kids! When other kids wanted to go to the drive in and play on the playground equipment, I was getting set for the movies! Planet of the Apes (the original series) Friday the 13th, anything I could talk my mom into taking me to see, and I talked ALOT!!! So, I fell in love with movies of all kinds at an early age, but the bad movies were always my favorites! I saw The Children, Child's Play, Evil Dead, Dawn of the Dead and so many more in first run theatres. I guess that explains my aversion to bright lights and any sort of physical activity to this day!!! To me, a bad movie is much more than the sheer dumbness on the screen. There's the whole level of 'someone thought this was a great idea' humor that can't be avoided! If it's weird or different and it's a movie, I'll check it out. Hey, my wife thinks it makes me weird, but then I remind her that she married me!!!!! |

Date of Birth: January 20, 1985 Home Town: Bogalusa, LA Name of Site: Varied Celluloid Site Opening Date: January, 2003 Favorite Genre of B-Movies: Kung Fu, Horror, Spaghetti Western, Blaxploitation Favorite B-Movie: It's always changing, but I've kind of been obsessed with John Woo's "Hard Boiled" here lately. Favorite B-Movie Actor(s): Bruce Campbell, Jeffrey Combs, Robert Z'Dar, Gordon Liu, Jimmy Wang and all members of The Poison Clan (from Five Deadly Venoms and various Shaw Bros. films) Favorite B-Movie Quote: "I got you Iron Hands. It took quite a while, but I think this pair is good" - Crippled Avengers General General Info: Well, I don't really have much to say about myself. I grew up watching horror movies with my uncle, from about the time I was four years old when I conquered my fears of Freddie Krueger. Ever since then I've been a huge horror freak, watching all kinds of terrible slasher films growing up but still loving them no matter how cheesy. When I got the internet it opened a whole new world to me. Italian trash, 70s exploitation, Asian cinema, Kung Fu and everything in between. About two years ago I got the idea for my site. I just wanted to review a little bit of everything, but always staying within the boundaries of cult cinema. That's what I've been doing ever since and hope to continue so. |

Year of Birth: 1977 Home Town: AR Name of Site: Side Order of Ninjas Site Opening Date: February 23, 2003 Favorite Genre of B-Movies: Sci-Fi, Kung-Fu, horror. Favorite B-Movie: Too many to list. Favorite B-Movie Actor(s): Bruce Campbell, Vincent Price, Sonny Chiba,
Favorite B-Movie Quote: "Aren't I lucky, I got a chunky bit?"
- Bad General Info: I've always enjoyed movies that others would roll their eyes at, as well as sci-fi and comic books. After discovering a movie called Evil Dead 2, I really kept on the look-out for other movies like it. From then the die was cast. Too much time in college computer labs led me to discover various B-movie sites that I started following. There were people out there that enjoyed some of the same kind of movies I did. For a long time, the term Side Order of Ninjas (Why a Side Order of Ninjas? You couldn't handle a full order...) danced in my head, waiting for something to go with it. And one day, it clicked; B-movie reviews! With that, Side Order Of Ninjas was born! And a lot less messy than a chestburster in Alien. |

Date of Birth: February 18th, 1969 Home Town: Born in San Francisco, now living in Sacramento. Website: Shadow's B-Movie Graveyard Site Opening Date: October 27th, 2004 Favorite Genre of B-Movies: 50's Scifi and Horror Favorite B-Movie: The Thing from Another World (1951) Favorite B-Movie Actor(s): Ken Tobey, Marshall Thompson, John Agar, Richard Carlson, Richard Denning Favorite B-Movie Quote: "Now they will know why they are afraid of the dark. Now they will learn why they fear the night." - Thulsa Doom in Conan the Barbarian General Info: As long as I can remember, I have enjoyed the fantastic. I love all science fiction, fantasy and horror in just about any form - tv, films, books, games, etc. I collect various things including swords, models, action figures, DVDs and books by the hundreds. My genre cravings are dominated by two major themes - my love for spaceships and my love for monsters. I also enjoy biking, camping, Tango dancing, playing guitar, writing my own stories and am always on the hunt for a good scotch, a good laugh and a good cigar. I have a definite dark side, and feel more comfortable in dark clothes and in dimly lit rooms. I also am a science enthusiast, with my main areas of interest being astronomy and astrophysics. I work as big rig truck driver and warehouse manager for a petroleum company, which usually affords me plenty of free time to ponder all manner of things. I started Shadow's B Movie Graveyard after perusing numerous other review sites and deciding that it was something I'd really enjoy doing. I credit Duane Martin's B-Movie Central as one of my main sources of inspiration. I live in Sacramento, California with my Other Half, Cindy - who also loves to watch horror films with me. |

Name: David Stephenson / Part-time Ninja DOB: April 1984. Home Town: Sheffield, England. Name of Site: Death By Cinema Site Opening Date: December 25, 2005 Favorite Genre of B-Movies: C-Movies. Anything so bad it actually hurts. My aim here is to isolate the worst, most crud-encrusted cinematic turds ever to emerge from the sewers of Hollywood. Anything that falls into that category really makes my day. Favorite B-Movie: The Tomorrow Man / Anything by that crazy ninja mofo Godfrey Ho. Favorite B-Movie Actor(s): Dolph Lundgren. LONG LIVE THE DOLPH! Favorite B-movie quote: "He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!" - The Life of Brian General Info: The first ever UK based Rogue, here to let the world know about the best (and worst) the weird and wonderful world of UK independent cinema has to offer. (Basically, I’m on a mission to show the Yanks how it’s done lol!) I have a love of film, be it true masterpieces of Hollywood, to my current favourite Narc, starring the Big Man himself Ray Liotta. After spending years experimenting will all varieties of cinema from around the world (and discovering such wonders as Takeshi Kitano), I also had the fortune of stumbling upon the cheesiest, most un-intentionally hilarious piece of b-movie garbage to ever be vomited out of the diseased stomach of the made-for-TV-movie industry – The Tomorrow Man. A movie so bad I actually cried with laughter. Ever since then I’ve been hooked, making it my mission to fill my sad, pathetic existence with as many of these z-list gems as possible. Vampire zombies in tutus? No problem. Acid spitting Santa Claus Martians? Bring it on. When not dipping my toes into the cool waters of Rogue Cinema, I also wile away my time being the owner, founder and power-crazed entrepreneur behind www.twistededge.co.uk - where humour goes to die. Not for the feint of heart, or the easily offended. My purpose now is to root out those cinematic abominations that plague mankind like the Ebola virus, and to ridicule them in this new public setting. Who knows? Maybe one day the world of Hollywood will finally take heed and stop spewing out such crap. What was that cliché about flying pigs again??? |
